23 -- 10 METRIC TON TRUCKS SOL IFB G0GCWS 23485-01B9 POC Contact Point: Mr. K.R. Maunz, Black & Veatch International Procurement Manager, Tel. 913-339-3771. The General Organization for Greater Cairo Water Supply (GOGCWS), in the Arab Republic of Egypt, requests bids from U.S firms to provide Trucks. The required vehicles are thirteen 10-Metric ton (11 U.S Ton) stake bed trucks with water cooled 6-cylinder diesel engines not less than 190 horsepower left hand drive, and associated spare parts to be furnished and delivered to CIP Destination Alexandria, Arab Republic of Egypt. Bidder must have representation for supply of spare parts and service in the Arab Republic of Egypt. A Fixed Price Host Country Contract with GOGCWS in anticipated. Payment will be made in U.S Dollars by USAID/Egypt through a direct letter of Commitment under USAID Grant No. 263-1093. Interested firms may obtain copies of the Invitation for Bid (IFB23485-01B9) from Black & Veatch International, P.O.Box 8405, Kansas City, Missouri 64114, Attn.: K R Maunz, Fax No.: (913-339-3802) or in case of transmission problem (913)-339-3401. The IFB is expected to be released 15 days after publication of this notice. Bidders will be given 45 days from the date of issuance of the IFB to prepare and submit their bids. A public bid opening will be held at the time, date and address specified in the IFB. Late submission of bids will not be considered. Bids must remain valid and open for acceptance for a minimum of 120 days from the date set for bid opening. The Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Agency for International Development encourage and welcome in this activity the participation, to the fullest extent possible, of minorities and women both as individuals and as members of contracting or sub-contracting firms. In this respect, it is anticipated that the prime contractor will make every practicable use of such personnel and firms. (0158)
