The Naval Air Warfare Center WEapons Division (NAWCWPNS) intends to procure on a competitive basis, a Firm Fixed Price contract for the following item: 40 each, Video Compression Equipment capable of converting 1 to 4 NTSC RS170 analog video signals to 1 digital framed DS3 signal and converting the DS 3 signal back to 1 to 4 analog RS 170 signals at the receiving end. Selectable circuit and independently capable of full duplex or one way transmission of video; minimum video performance capability of differential gain, max 2.5 percent; differential phase, max 2.0 percent; video signal to noise ratio, minimum 57 db; color resolution, 4:2:2. The equipment must be compatible with existing KG95 encryption units at NAWCWPNS. The reference to ''digital framed DS3 signal'' in the performance specification is an industry designator which describes the type of government encryption interface required.
