94710 66 -- AERODYNAMIC PARTICLE SIZE ANALYZER SOL IFB No. 20-91H2-96 DUE
070396. Contact Ken Eason, 510/559-6018, FAX 510/559-6023, Contract
Specialist. The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, Pullman, WA has a
requirement for an aerodynamic particle size analyzer for measurement
of very fine particulate dust in the atmosphere. It must be based on
the dual laser aerodynamic acceleration methodology, it must be field
capable with 24 volt input, and have an enclosure rugged enough to be
used in the field rather than on a laboratory basis. The aerosol
instrument must be able to measure two particle-size parameters,
aerodynamic diameter and light-scattering intensity, simultaneously.
Instrument methodology is the US/EPA Federal Reference Method for
measurement of airborne particulate distributions in ambient air.
Instruments results must be transferable and acceptable to US/EPA. The
instrument must operate on 120VAC or 24VDC. The government intends to
negotiate with the only known responsible source, which is TSI
Incorporated of St. Paul, Minnesota. A solicitation is not available
for this notice. Interested firms are encouraged to submit proposals
containing descriptive literature of their products to the mailing
address shown in this notice. Responses must be received by July 3,
1996. See Numbered Note 22. (156) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0362 19960607\66-0009.SOL)
