The NAVSTAR Global Positioning System (GPS) Joint Program Office (JPO) is considering a sole- source, task-order contract with Rockwell International, Collins Avionics and Communication Division (CACD) for the purpose of providing the JPO with a post-production technical support for military GPS User Equipment (UE) designed by CACD. UE consists of hardware, software, and peripheral equipment. CACD will provide quick response to field reports on integrated systems. CACD will verify the reports through simulations and investigations, and develop software and/or hardware solutions to restore the receivers to baseline functionality and/or performance. CACD will evaluate the effects of emerging technologies or changes to the GPS Space or Control Segments on the UE. This synopsis is for information only and is not a solicitation.
