The Volpe Center plans to solicit a sole-source simplified acquisition from Pivotal Graphics, San Jose, CA for the configuration of a system which will accept ASDE-3 data, scan and convert the data and generate RGB video output, the ASDE-3 Scan Conversion Subsystem (ASCS). The ASCS will provide a baseline for the development of a low cost Airport Movement Area Safety System (AMASS) solution for possible integration with systems currently under evaluation. The system is copmrised of three integrated Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) subsystems; a tracking subsystem, a Scan Conversion subsystem, and a Graphics subsystem. A Radar Input card will be developed by the contractor to accept the ASDE-3 radar input signals and provide two outputs; a Viceroy DMA card and a Vintage Card. In addition the contractor will provide Primagraphics Advanced Radar Interfaced Software (PARIS). Small Business firms classified under Sic code (7373) that are interested in proposing on this simplified acquisition requirement must demonstrate to the Contracting Officer in writing no later than 15 days from the date of publication that they posses or have the capabilities to perform this requirement.
