The Volpe Center plans to solicit a sole-source, for a simplified acquisition, on a unrestricted procurement from IDC Government, Falls Church, VA for an analysis of the Volpe Center's campus Local Area Network (LAN), not including wide area networks. The task requires quantitative and qualitative analysis of the Volpe Center's operational campus computer network and a qualitative anlaysis of the Computer Center's computer facilities. The approach includes benchmarking and metrics and a strategic recommendation for the future concentrating on technology directions and areas for improvement. Small Business firms classified under SIC code 7379 that are interested in proposing on this requirement must demonstrate to the Contracting Officer in writing no later than 15 days from the date of publication that they posses Federal market reference librarys which includes but not limited to: state of the art technical documents, on-line services, government regulations (FAR, FIRMR, Federal Register, CFR, FIPS, DOD Directives and RFP/RFI's).
