The project consists of providing new fully automated fuselage aperture closure system in four (4) door panels to accept C-5 aircraft. (1) System must be capable of accepting the C-5 parked in the hangar at 13 1/2 degrees off the center line; (2) System must be capable of accepting the C-5 parked in the hangar in the knelt or jacked position; (3) Work includes structural steel fabrication and erection, metal siding, insulation, painting, aperture door controls and electrical work. Bid issue on or about 16 July 1996. Bid opening on or about 19 Aug 1996. Performance period will be 90 calendar days. Estimated costa of construction is $250,000.00 to $500,000.00.
