C -- A/E - NHCU INTERIOR UPGRADE SOL RFP 508-118-96 DUE 071096 POC Ed Cohen A/E services are required to provide complete contract drawings and specifications and construction period services for Project 508-96-105, ''NHCU Interior Upgrade'', at the VA Medical Center in Decatur, GA. Work to include, but is not limited to the renovation of the basement through the third floors of the Nursing Home Care Unit located at this Medical Center; work includes contract prints & as-built drawings on AutoCadd (version R12), field investigation and site visits. Project involves replacement of wall fabric, ceilings, floor tile, finishes, signage, alarms, and fan coil units, as well as upgrading the HVAC controls and installing/replacing lighting in patient bathrooms. Selection criteria consists of: 1) Architectural experience in renovating nursing homes, and hospitals. 2) Knowledge of mechanical and electrical design. 3) Professional capacity to accomplish work in required time frame (must provide previous projects & a contact person). 4) In-house capabilities to provide investigations and related design services. 5) Adequacy and qualifications of consultants and/or subcontractors to simultaneously produce additional work. 6) Satisfactory demonstrate past performance on related contracts in hospitals or Government agencies or private industries in terms of cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance schedules. 7) Demonstrate design quality control practices and techniques. 8) Location of firm to this Medical Center. Firms must be within a 200 mile radius of this Medical Center. The SIC for this project is 8712. The estimated dollar range for construction is between $250,000-$500,000. THIS IS AN EMERGING SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE (Annual gross receipts not more than 1.25 million in last 3 fiscal years).
