Department of Labor, supportive of the Pension and Welfare Benefits
Aadministration, has a requirement for highly technical data processing
& research support for its core activities of: (1) Program Statistics
Development and Publication, and (2) Economic Analysis of Private
Sector Employee Benefits Policy Issues. The Department seeks a research
contractor with strong data processing capabilities and, in addition,
economic analysis capabilities to assist it in the performance of its
core activities. The contractor must possess a track record of hands-on
experience with the Form 5500 data base and with several of the large
household survey data bases; experience with more specialized employee
benefits data bases, e.g. the Health and Retirement Survey, is also
desirable. Beyond strong data processing capabilities, the contractor
must possess sufficient research capabilities, based on experience and
personnel, to conduct sophisticated econometric analysis on labor and
employee benefits policy topics. Requests for copies of the
