NOTICE OF MSPB INTERIM FACNET CERTIFICATION ATTENTION: MSPB VENDORS AND POTENTIAL TRADING PARTNERS. Notice is hereby provided that the U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board in Washington, DC, has implemented an electronic commerce/electronic data interchange capability and has certified interim FACNET in accordance with Subpart 4.5 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations and the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act. The simplified acquisition procedures in FAR Part 13 will be used for purchases between the micropurchase threshold of $2,500 and $100,000. As of June 15, 1996, requests for quotation in this price range will be issued over the Federal Acquisition Computer Network (FACNET) for supplies and equipment and some services, to the maximum extent practicable. After October 1, 1996, all RESPONSES to FACNET solicitations (RFQ's) issued by MSPB shall be required to be submitted through FACNET, unless otherwise authorized.
