It is our intent to extend the option ordering period of the current SELVS Contract with Orbital Sciences Corporation (OSC) for one year through 9/30/97, with a one year option, to allow NASA to exercise three unused options, if needed. The options require the Contractor to provide space transportation services for small class payloads in NASA's Mixed Fleet Program. Currently, we can exercise options until 9/30/96. Extending the option ordering period will provide NASA with continuity of services during the recompetition of the SELVS contract. The contract modification that we will issue will not change the current contract terms, conditions and prices. Any firms desiring consideration for this extension of the option ordering period should fully identify their interest and capability to provide this service within 15 days of the publication of this synopsis.
