The raw water source is taken from four shallow wells, each well feeds the water treatment plant at 20 maximum gallons per minute. Annual average trihalomethane (THM) concentration of samples collected in 1992 and 1993 is 0.19 mg/liter, exceeding allowable limit of 0.10 mg/liter. Water useage is highly seasonal and varies from 3,100 gallons daily in winter to 66,700 gallons daily in the summer season.
