CONTRACT Sol GS-03P-96-AZD-0038, DUE 073196 POC Contract, Linda Savage,
215-656-6122. Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision
necessary for reconfiguration of existing systems furniture, including
disassembly, reassembly, and repair/maintenance of systems furniture
in the following counties/cities: The location in which this contract
concerns itself consist of two areas: (1) The entire counties of
Philadelphia, Delaware, Bucks, Montgomery, and Chester in Pennsylvania,
and that portion of the State of Delaware which is north of Delaware
State Highway 41 & Interstate 295, and (2) The counties of Albemarle,
Richmond, Henrico and Chesterfield, the cities of Norfolk, Portsmouth,
Chesapeake, Hampton, VA Beach, Suffolk, and Newport News in Virginia.
(NOTE: You are not required to offer a proposal for the two areas
designated, however, your proposal MUST include an offer for at least
one ENTIRE area.) The work involves furnishing all materials,
equipment, labor, and supervision necessary for reconfiguration of
existing systems furniture, including disassembly, reassembly,
repair/maintenance services and replacement parts of the following
manufactures of systems furniture excusively: Hayworth, Herman Miller,
Knoll, Steelcase, and Unicor. As a result of the Federal Government's
procurement of systems furniture during the past several years, the
requirement has arisen for the performance of services to ensure
maximum utility is realized during the life of the furniture. The
services required as disassembly, reassembly and repair. Disassembly
involves taking down of installed system furniture workstations,
including all components, i.e., panels, work surfaces, cabinets,
raceways, electrical components, etc. Unless otherwise specified
disassembly shall be the minimum required to prepare the workstations
to be safely moved and/or stored without damage of loss of components.
Disassembly includes the cost of preparing a complete inventory lst.
Reassembly involves the assembly of the existing disassembled systems
furniture as well as new furniture components into the same revised
workstation configurations based on the final installation drawings.
Repair services shall consist of the repair and/or replacement of
damaged or broken component parts panels or hardware. In order for a
bidder to be determined responsible, the bidder must submit information
with the bid which demonstrates that they are a certified authorizded
installer of the systems furniture manufacturers noted. DEFINITIVE
RESPONSIBILITY CRITERIA: In order for the apparent low bidder to be
deemed responsible, certain criteria MUST be met. The bidder must
demonstrate competency in performing comparable systems furniture
reconfiguration contracts, demonstration of acceptable financial
resources, personnel staffing, plant, equipment and supply sources. The
bidder or designated subcontractor engaged in work under this contract
shall have satisfactorily performed twenty-five (25) to fifty (50)
reconfiguration of systems furniture projects during the past three (3)
years varying in size from under fifty (50) workstations to over one
thousand (1000) workstations. The evaluation factors in which the award
of this contract shall be based on are: Price related factors, Past
performance, and certification. This announcement also constitutes the
