Project consists of, but is not limited to, selective demolition of existing interior walls and one exterior wall; relocation of interior stairs, mechanical room, laundry facilities, and storage; upgrade to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems; upgrade of interior finishes throughout; and the erection of steel frame, masonry wall, and curtain wall to add one bay to existing structure. Work will be phased starting with building 5210 to be repaired first, 5212 to be repaired second, and 5214 to be repaired third. Work cannot be performed on more than one building at a time and must be one hundred percent complete. This acquisition is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. For informational purposes the small business size standard for this solicitation is one where the average annual receipts of the concern and its affiliates for the preceding three fiscal years does not exceed $17 million. Applicable SIC Code is 1522. The solicitation is tentatively scheduled for issuance on or about 1 Jul 96. This is an unrestricted solicitation. All business concerns are encouraged to submit offers. Copies of this solicitation are limited to 75 and availability is on a first-come-first-served basis. Phase I (Building 5210) is a Fiscal year (FY) 1996 funded requirement and will be awarded prior to 30 Sep 96. Funds for Phase II (Building 5212) and Phase III (Building 5214) requirements are not presently available. It is our intent to award these phases prior to 30 Sep 96 if Fiscal Year (FY) 1996 funds become available. Otherwise, it will be funded with FY 1997 funds and incorporated into the contract by modification as funds become available, or a continuing federal budget resolution is passed by Congress, but no later than 29 Nov 96.
