14 -- BQM-74E AERIAL TARGET MISSION ESSENTIAL KITS POC Contact, LCDR Gary Broadwell, Phone (703)604-0903 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a firm-fixed price sole-source contract to Northrop Corporation, with an option, for the procurement of BQM-74E Aerial Target Mission Essential Kits and services. Mission Essential Kits and other services (with their corresponding quantities indicated in parenthesis) in the basic contract include: Radar Altimeter Installation Sub-Kits (75); Yaw Rate Gyro Kits (55); Air Launch Kits (40); InfraRed (IR) Flare Kits (40); 5M Low Altitude Kits (15); and Contractor Engineering and/or Technical Services (40 hours). Kit quantities in the option are variable and include: Radar Altimeter Installation Sub-Kits (50-170); Yaw Rate Gyro Kits (100-190); Air Launch Kits (75-150); IR Flare Kits (50-100); 5M Low Altitude Kits (15-45); and Fuel Plug Kits (25-75). In accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Northrop Corporation is the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the BQM-74E Aerial Target system and kits and is the only known firm with the knowledge, experience, and technical data necessary to meet the Navy's requirements within the required timeframe.
