44 -- PURCHASE AND INSTALL AUTOCLAVE SYSTEM SOL F04700-96-B-0057 DUE 080196 POC Robyn Barton, Contracting Officer, (805) 277-3900 Ext 2228. This acquisition is to furnish all labor, tools and materials necessary to install a turn-key, complete and usable, autoclave system at Bldg. 1600, Edwards AFB, California. This acquisition is to include the autoclave system, all minor construction to facilitate the installation and all training necessary for six (6) shop personnel to operate and maintain the autoclave system. The autoclave system will consist of: internal working diameter of eight (8) feet, internal working length of sixteen (16) feet, maximum autoclave temperature of 1,000 degrees Fahrenheitand 300 PSI. Maximum heating rate of ten (10) degrees F/min non-loaded, silicon controlled rectifier (SCR) controller heat regulation, electrical method of heating, maximum cooling rate of ten (10) degrees F/min non-loaded, proportional cooling method, twenty-four (24) part thermocouple jacks to be wired to the control and acquisition system for alarm, recording and part temperature control purposes, one (1) hi-limit thermocouple and one (1) permanent air-temperature thermocouple used for control, alarm, and recording/acquisition purposes, proportional vacuum system control, manual valve VAC/OFF/VENT supply line control, dial supply line gauge, eight (8) vacuum monitor lines (transducers), two (2) quart liquid nitrogen resin trap, maximum pressurization rate will be from zero (0) psig to full autoclave pressure in 15 minutes, maximum de-pressurization rate will be from full autoclave pressure to zero (0) psig in 10 minutes, minimum autoclave air velocity is 300 ft/min, regulation of mass air-flow at differing internal autoclave pressures, functional IBM 386 based computer control and data acquisition system, ASME relief valve and rupture disk, high pressure switch interlocked to disable inlet valve and open exhaust valve, door interlock including electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical, hi-limit temperature controller interlocked to disable heating and start cooling, ''person-in-clave'' safety device, oxygen analyzer, fresh-air purging system, door interlock, and visual indication of the oxygen status.
