Wright-Patterson AFB OH is in need of a self modelocked amplified Ti:Sapphire pumped optical parametric amplifier. The basic features are that the main source of the femtosecond pulses be a CW Argon Ion pumped self modelocked Titanium doped sapphire (Ti:Al(2) O(3) laser. A regenerative chirped pulse amplifier (CPA) must amplify this output to provide near transform limited pulses, on the order of 100 fs, at a repetition rate of at least 1 kHz and average powers of at least 500 mW. These amplified pulses must then be used to pump an optical parametric amplifier seeded by internally generated white light continuum. An autocorrelator to measure the pulse widths must be included. Sources were sought on about April 23, 1996. All sources that responded will be sent a copy of the solicitation. The associated standard industrial classification code is 3821 and therefore the small business size standard is 500 employees. This solicitation will be issued approx 96 Jun 28. The solicitation will close on 18 Jul 96. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered. No tel requests.
