70 -- UPGRADE AND MAINTENANCE OF PROPRIETARY SOFTWARE POC Gale Greenwald, Contracting Officer, (301) 402-3345. The National Institutes of Health, Executive Secretariat (ES), Rockville, Maryland intends to negotiate with National Micrographics, 11941 Bournefield Way, Silver Spring, MD 20904, and award a contract on a sole source basis for an upgrade of Minolta Imaging system and maintenance of proprietary imaging software from National Micrographics Systems Inc. (NMS). The software will be upgraded from Minolta MIMS 2.5 to include 32 bit support for Microsoft NT Server and Microsoft SQL Server. The current database will be ported to an NT SQL Server 6.0 database with custom designed utility and search programs. National Micrographics Systems, Inc. will upgrade the jukebox, switch to new disks, and convert the old proprietary images to new disks. The ES also is upgrading the software to include graphical workflow for rules-based intelligent routing. This is a notice of intent and not a request for competitive proposals. Responsible sources capable of furnishing the above services are invited to submit a brief statement of interest and capability, including sufficiently detailed documentation of the above experience, to establish a bonafide capability to meet the stated requirement within 45 days of the publication date of this notice to the Gale Greenwald at the address above.
