Mary Jo Mattia, Contracting Officer, 301/415-7315, Edna Knox-Davin, Contract Specialist, 301/415-6577 The Contractor shall furnish all necessary, fully trained personnel, supervision, microcomputer support services, facilities, microcomputer hardware and software, and laser printers to successfully meet this requirement. The Contractor shall be capable of responding on-sight to requests within 1 hour from the time of initial notification of a problem, to ensure that required response times are met for the various support services. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing offsite setup and test facilities so that all hardware components purchased can be assembled, stored, and warranty repaired at the Contractor's facilities if on-site warranty repair is impossible. Additionally, these facilities shall provide for burn- in of Contractor-manufactured hardware, and maintenance activities for any NRC-owned microcomputer hardware, as required. The off-site facilities shall conform to manufacturer standards for appropriate power distribution, ventilation, and space management of the number of systems supported at one time. For the bulk of work to be performed, the Contractor shall use the offsite staging facility as a home base. The contract types anticipated are fixed price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type for hardware and software acquisitions and cost plus fixed fee for maintenance services. The period of performance is a 1-year base period with four (4) 1-year option periods. This requirement is a nationwide 8(a) competition limited to only transitional 8(a) firms as defined by the Small Business Administration. A request for the solicitation should indicate the size of the business based upon a SIC code of 3571. The size standard for this solicitation is 1,000 employees. These services are currently being provided by Tri-Cor Industries, Inc. under the ID/IQ and CPFF 8(a) contract no. NRC-33- 94-185. Interested firms should submit written requests to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission at the address as shown above. Telephone requests will not be honored. Solicitation is to be issued on or about June 25, 1996. Closing date for proposals is 21 days after issue date of solicitation. (0163)
