The Navy intends to solicit and award an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity type contract for engineering and technical support of various integrated voice communications systems (IVCS) such as AN/STC-1 IVCS, AN/STC-2(V) IVCS, AN/WTC-3(V) Dimension 2000, Definity 75, Mitel SX2000, Ericsson/GE MD 100 dial telephone systems, AN/SRC-41/51 Man-on-the-Move radio communications, AN/SRC-53(V) Damage Control WireFree Communications, AN/SRC-55(V) Hierarchical Yet Dynamic Radio Architecture, and a variety of shipboard announcing systems. Performance will include design, redesign, installation, and maintenance of electronic equipment, systems, and associated computer programs as well as development, maintenance, and installation of management support software and databases, development and/or presentation of associated curricula, development and maintenance of preventative maintenance requirements cards and technical documentation, and verification and validation tasks. The proposed time and material contract will require personnel such as computer scientists, analysts, programmers, software engineers electronics engineers, technicians, and assemblers, field engineers, curriculum developers, and logistics specialists. The primary place of performance will be at a Navy facility in San Diego, CA; however, work onboard fleet ships at sea or located in US and foreign ports will be required. The proposed contract will contain a one year period of performance to commence OCT 1996 with 4 options, each for an additional one year period. The estimated level of effort for each year respectively is: 57,300, 62,700; 73,600; 75,600; 81,600 hours. This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns.
