59 -- ATC VIDEO COMPRESSION SYSTEM SOL DTFA05-96-C-40255 DUE 062096 POC Nadene Fontano (718) 553-3080 Contracting Officer The Federal Aviation Administration intends to award a contract on/or about June 20, 1996 to Delta Information Systems, Inc., 300 Welsh Road, Building 3, Suite 120, Horsham, Pennsylvania, 19044-2273, for the purchase, installation and training of three Air Traffic Control Video Compression Systems for Digital Bright Indicator Terminal Equipment. The DBRITE Video Compression System was designed to meet FAA specifications under the Small Business Innovative Research Program. This system consists of the following: DVC Video Compressor Unit (Model VCU-02), DVC Video Decompressor Unit (Model VDU-02), Two Communications Modems and One Extender Board. The specifications cited by the FAA are a provision for Remote Maintenance Monitoring (RMM), refresh rate of the DBRITE display at 10 frames per second, built-in tester (BIT) for fault isolations and the video image quality must be the same as the original. The Government basis for this single source selection is the ATOC System is the only DBRITE Video Compression System that can be commissioned. This information is provided as information only.
