The Army Research Laboratory (ARL) announces the extension of the FY95 ARL Broad Agency Announcement (DAAL01-95-R-ARL-BAA) until 31 August 1996. Release of the FY97 ARL BAA is anticipated in September 1996, and will supersede the FY95 ARL BAA issued June 1994. The BAA IS NOT AVAILABLE IN HARD COPY. The BAA is available on the ARL Mosaic Server (http://www.arl.mil) under Business Opportunities or ftp.arl.mil in file/arl/baa.arl. Topic 5.1 should read (302) 892-6648. ARL has identified an additional research topic in the area of HUMAN RESEARCH AND ENGINEERING Topic 4.3 TEAM PERFORMANCE IN EMERGENCY MEDICINE. This includes the team process extending from prehospital care (e.g., basic life support) through patient admission to a tertiary care facility, triage, stabilization, initial diagnois and treatment, and final patient disposition (e.g., admission to another hospital department, discharge). Such proposals should include an analysis of team error patterns and other factors inhibiting the effective coordination of workload and information exchange.
