CZECH REPUBLIC: EDIBLE FUNGI AND FUNGI PRODUCTS The following notification is being circulated in accordance with Article 10.6. G/TBT/Notif. 96.164. 1. Member to Agreement notifying: CZECH REPUBLIC. If applicable, name of local government involved (Articles 3.2 and 7.2). 2. Agency responsible: Czech Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing (COSMT) Agency or authority designated to handle comments regarding the notification can be indicated if different from above. 3. Notified under Article 2.9.2. 4. Products covered (HS or CCCN where applicable, otherwise national tariff heading. ICS numbers may be provided in addition, where applicable): Edible fungi and fungi products. 5. Title, number of pages and language(s) of the notified document: Draft Czech Standard CSN 46 3195 Edible Fungi and Fungus Products (26 pages, available in Czech). 6. Description of content: The draft standard specifies the following important requirements: Terms and definition of the products, terms and definition of the imperfections, main sorts, essential composition and quality factors, products from fungi - general requirements, products from fungi - special requirements, food additives, hygiene, contents of cover, packaging, storage and transportation, labelling, analytical methods. Annex A contains list of edible fungi, determined for direct sale or for food processing. Annex B contains list of mushrooms, determined for production of extracts or for subsequent processing in food industry. Annex C contains list of growing fungi. The provisions 2.3; 2.4; 3.1.1; 3.2.1; 3.2.2; 3.3.3.1; 3.3.4.1; 3.3.4.2; 3.3.5.1; 3.3.7.1; 3.3.8.1; 3.3.9.2; 3.3.10.1; 4; 5; 7; 8.1; 8.2 and 8.4 of the draft standards are proposed to be mandatory. 7.
