CZECH REPUBLIC: DRIED EDIBLE FUNGI The following notification is being circulated in accordance with Article 10.6. G/TBT/Notif. 96.163. 1. Member to Agreement notifying: CZECH REPUBLIC. If applicable, name of local government involved (Articles 3.2 and 7.2). 2. Agency responsible: Czech Office of Standards, Metrology and Testing (COSMT) Agency or authority designated to handle comments regarding the notification can be indicated if different from above. 3. Notified under Article 2.9.2. 4. Products covered (HS or CCCN where applicable, otherwise national tariff heading. ICS numbers may be provided in addition, where applicable): Dried edible fungi. 5. Title, number of pages and language(s) of the notified document: Draft Czech Standard CSN 56 9431 Dried Edible Fungi (12 pages, available in Czech). 6. Description of content: The draft standard specifies the following important requirements: Terms and definitions of the products, definition of the imperfection, essential quality factors, tolerance of imperfections, hygienic requirements, packaging and placing on the market; homogeneity, labelling. Annex A contains list of edible fungi, permitted for drying. Annex B contains list of growing fungi, permitted for drying. The provisions 3.3; 4.1; 4.2.1; 5; 6.2; 7.1.1; 7.1.2 and 7.3 of the draft standard are proposed to be mandatory. 7. Objective and rationale: Consumer's protection. 8.
