The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Patuxent River, MD will acquire on a cost-plus fixed fee, level of effort basis, specialized systems engineering, technical, and management services in the support of various 4.11.10.2 competency programs at NAWCAD, Patuxent River, MD. This action is a modification to contract N00421-93-C-0020 that increases the potential contract hours, travel, and material and provides for the continued support associated with the F/A-18 Positive Identification System (PIDS), SLQ-20 flight test support, Test Tool Development, and the Airborne Instrumentation development for the PIDS. These particular services involve work in classified facilities and require a TOP SECRET security clearance. The contract modification will be negotiated on a sole source basis with J.F. Taylor, Inc., P.O. Box 760, Lexington Park, MD under the statutory authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The continued performance of the aforementioned requirements is necessary until a competitive acquisition is awarded.
