In accordance with FAR 6.301-1, The Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA), intends to modify contract No. 500-95-0054 with the National Academy for State Health Policy for Services Supporting Medicare and Medicaid Quality Improvement Initiatives. This modification is required to obtain additional expertise and increase the frequency and number of meetings necessary to complete the tasks of developing new quality assurance and improvement standards, reviewer guidelines, for HCFA's Medicare and Medicaid managed care programs. The HCFA Central and Regional Offices, along with States, will monitor managed care plans and help with the improvement of the quality of care delivered to beneficiaries. No RFP is available.
