equipment, materials, transportation and supervision necessary to
rebuild five (5) navigational light structures on the Hudson River
located between Kingston and Albany, New York. Work includes but is not
limited to placing approximately 120 tons of stone riprap around light
foundations, provide and install a new aluminum access ladder on
Hudson City Light, and incidental related work. Estimated cost of this
project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. SIC code is 1629.
Performance time is 90 calendar days. Solicitation Packages to be

for this package. Checks should be made out to the USCG. Requests will
be honored until supply is exhausted. The due date for receipt of bids
is on or about August 7, 1996. This project is issued pursuant to the
Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, and is

of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business
Utilization (OSDBU) has programs to assist minority, women-owned and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts.
This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier.
The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid,
payment and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT
provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against
losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program
(STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
financing. The max. line of credit is $500,000. For further information
