COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF JUNE 17,1996 PSA#1617Northern Division, Navy Crane Center, NAVFACENGCOM, 10 Industrial
Highway, Mail Stop #82, Lester, PA 19113-2090 39 -- CRANE SURVEY DUE 070596 POC Margaret Gettings, Contracting
Officer, 610-595-0505. CRANE SURVEY. The Navy Crane Center is
conducting a market survey to determine the contractors, both foreign
and domestic, who have the ability to satisfy the Navy's requirements
over the next several years. The Navy Crane Center serves as the
contracting agent for the purchase of cranes for the U.S. Navy shore
establishment. We develop specifications, solicit and award contracts,
review contractor designs, provide technical direction and oversight,
and accept the cranes for the Navy. We are currently examining all
aspects of the way we buy cranes with the intent of re-engineering our
processes and organization. A major part of this initiative is to
learn more about crane contractor capabilities so that we can better
partner with industry. Additionally, if you have done business with us
in the past, we are interested in hearing your recommendations to
improve the way we specify and buy cranes. You can request a copy of
the survey by calling Margaret Gettings at (610) 595-0505 or by
visiting our website at http://www.efdnorth.navfac.navy.mil/cindex.htm.
The survey may be downloaded from the website. Your response may be
faxed to the Navy Crane Center at (610) 595-0747. (0165) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0274 19960614\39-0003.SOL)
