FISCNORVADETWASH intends to award a sole-source contract to Baxter Healthcare Corporation for the delivery of Closed Apheresis Kits used to collect Apheresis products. Baxter Healthcare Corporation is the only source that can provide Closed Apheresis Kits which work with the Baxter CS 3000 cell separators currently owned by the National Naval Medical Center. The Closed Apheresis Kits will be used with the two (2) arm platelet collection procedure and should contain double platelet containers, two (2) 1000ML PL732/PLASMA transfer packs, one (1) 600ML PL146, seventeen (17) gauge inlet and outlet needle, 1000ML .9% NaC1, 1000ML ACDA, and a sample pouch. The contract will permit upgrades to kits under certain circumstances. The performance period will be for one (1) base year and four (4) one-year options.
