66 -- ELECTROBALANCE SOL 52SBNB6C9163 POC Diane Loeb (301) 975-6399, Sharon Farinholt (301) 975-6339 The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) intends to procure on a sole source basis with CAHN Instruments, 1001 Fourier drive, Madison, WI 53717 for one each of the following items: (1) Mdl #13101-01, CAHN D-101 Digital Recording Balance; (2) Mdl #03405-01, General Purpose Stand; (3) Mdl #13364-01, Vacuum Take-off Kit, Elbow Tube; (4) Mdl #02481-01, Sample Tube Cap 54 x 75 mm Pyrex; (5) Mdl #02480-01, Sample Tube Cap 54 x 130 mm Pyrex; two each of the following items: (6) Mdl #12516-01 Quartz Bucket; 19MM; (7) Mdl #01568-01 Aluminum Pan (pkg.10), (8) Mdl #01566-01, Stirrup Open 28mm micros; and six each of the following: (9) Mdl #01393-01, Quartz Bowl, 5 mm; (10) Mdl #08441-01, Quartz Bowl 9mm. Delivery is FOB Gaithersburg, MD within 45 days after award. CAHN Instruments is the only company which can provide this electrobalance system compatible with existing NIST generated software. The NIST generated software is based on the command structure provided with existing government-owned CAHN instruments. This command structure provides for calibration, taring, range setting, and rapid reading of weight.
