Contracting Officer, (619) 939-8168. The Naval Air Warfare Center
Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure a minimum of one
(1) and a maximum of five (5) infrared camera systems with a Fixed
Price, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract. The systems
are intended to serve multiple purposes in daytime and nighttime usage
to support testing of military hardware. To achieve the required
angular resolution with a practical size telescope, the three (3) to
five (5) micron spectral band is required. The camera image sensor
focal plane array (FPA) shall be a minimum two hundred fifty six (256)
by two hundred fifty six (256) array. The government will select one
of three lens for the camera that span a field of view of sixteen (16)
plus or minus two (2) degrees to less than two (2) degrees. One lens
shall match the following specifications: The ratio of the effective
optical focal length to the effective optical aperture (F number) shall
be numerically 2.45 or higher. The input pupil of the lens shall be
greater than 0.9 inches and equal to or less than one inch. The total
angular field of vision must be greater than eight (8) degrees and less
than or equal to 9.1 degree. The intended usage is for high speed event
analysis. This requires that the camera have snapshot exposure; and
sensitivity and functional capability to take short exposures, and to
produce full size images at rates of at least one hundred twenty (120)
Hz and reduced size images at rates of at least one thousand (1000)
Hz. The systems shall include a camera with (a) integral compatible
optics, (b) lens cover, (c) integral cryogenic cooler. Also included
with the camera is full operator control capability via a RS-422 serial
remote control. Software shall be included to operate the remote
control serial link and be written in the C programming language. Video
output will be both RS 170 analog video format and serial and parallel
(12 bit) digital output. Each system shall include a power supply,
re-useable packing case, interconnect cables, and documentation.
Expected delivery schedule of cameras shall be 120 days after receipt
of delivery order. All responsible sources may submit an offer which
will be considered. solicitation will be issued on or about July 8,
