The Fleet Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to competitively procure Fleet Introduction Managerial, Logistical and Technical support services for the LHD Class Precommissioning units in Pascagoula, MS in support of the Supervisor of Shipbuilding's LHD Project Office and NAVSEA PMS 377. Contractor personnel will be required to develop a framework of administration, engineering, logistics, training and planning to support the ship's organization prior to, during, and after the arrival of the Commanding Officer and ships company personnel. The Contractor will be required to provide ''hands on'' administrative, personnel, aviation, engineering, logistics and technical support to the Commanding Officer and departmental officers to facilitate successful fleet introduction and transitioning. It is anticipated that a Cost Plus Fixed Fee, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity type services contract will result from the solicitation. The resultant contract will provide for a base period of performance of one (1) year, along with one (1) twelve month option provision. The total level of effort, inclusive of options, is estimated to be 72,800 manhours. The standard industrial classification number for this procurement is 8711. The solicitation will require the submission of cost/price and technical proposals.
