Fields, (410) 636-4299 Potential Sources Sought. The U.S. Coast Guard
is seeking qualified sources for the inspection and repair of one (1)
each Positive Clutch used onboard 378' WHEC Coast Guard vessels.
Contractor shall be responsible for providing all labor and materials
to receive, disassemble, inspect, report, overhaul, reassemble, test,
and preserve the Positive Clutch in accordance with current Original
Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications and standards and Coast
Guard Specification No. 4342-R-242-197 dated 4/96. All parts to be
furnished and used with repairs must be genuine OEM parts. It is the
Government's belief that only the OEM, SSS Clutch Company, and/or their
authorized dealers, can provide the required service(s). However, other
potential sources having the expertise and required capabilities can
submit data discussing the same in duplicate within 15 days from the
date of this announcement. The following information must be provided
to evaluate the acceptability of the offered parts and services: (1)
complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability
of the offered parts (i.e., salient, physical, functional and
serviceability characteristics) or (2) Data that the offered parts have
been satisfactorily manufactured for the government or the original
equipment manufacturer. When calling, be prepared to state your name,

synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 5.207(e)(3) and TAM 1205.207. No
cost or pricing data is required. This is not a solicitation. THIS IS
A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. This Notice is for Minority,
Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of
Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business
Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist minority, women-owned, and
disadvantaged business enterprises acquire short term working capital
assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available
under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates
to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is
