(703) 875-6014 The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Consular Affairs
has a follow-on requirement for the Mitrerek Systems Inc., a non-profit
organization, to continue development of the Department's information
systems and infrastructure modernization effort. The effort is to
significantly improve the Consular Affair's financial and operational
systems and business processes for Machine Readable Visas, Machine
Readable Passports, Consular Lookout and Support System, Automated Cash
Register System, and activity-based cost systems, and others. It
involves incorporating major changes in technology and business
processes and approaches which includes assessment of existing
systems's architecture, identifying workflow and workload
characteristics, system utilization, system infrastructure (e.g.,
languages, applications, commercial or proprietary), and communications
architecture, etc. The effort is to be continued by a follow-on
contract for a base year and four, one year option periods to the
