supplies necessary for the construction of a 10,600 SF masonry
Composite Base Supply/BCE Maintenance Facility at the California Air
National Guard facility located at Sepulveda, (Los Angeles County)
California. Work includes but is not limited to, mechanical and
electrical equipment, piping, concrete work, earth work, landscaping,
lockers, removal or demolition of existing structures and features and
the related work. Estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000
and $5,000,000. 20% Bid Bond requirement; Davis-Bacon wage rates
applicable; liquidated damages are $275.00 per day. Contract
performance period is 270 days. This solicitation is scheduled to be
issued on or about 27 June 1996. Bid opening on or about 30 July 1996.
This solicitation is unrestricted. The Standard Industrial
Classification (SIC) Code is 1542. The applicable small business size
standards including affiliates is not more than $17 million average
annual revenue for the previous three years. Plans, specifications, and
bid documents are available at a Non-refundable charge of $50.00 per
set. A Certified Check or Money Order must be made out to ``FAO, U.S.
Army.'' All requests must be in writing. Telephonic requests will not
be accepted. Interested firms may fax their requests for bid packages
to (805) 594-6348. Only prime contractors to receive plans and
specifications. Plans and specifications will not be furnished to
subcontractors. Due to a short supply bid packages will be furnished on
a first come first served basis until supply is exhausted. A firm-fixed
