A SOLICITATION NOTICE WILL BE PUBLISHED BEFORE INVITATIONS ARE ISSUED. The work includes correcting grounding and surge problems on the electrical distribution systems at Buildings 848, 848A, 850, 851, and 858. The existing grounding system shall be upgraded by installing new ground cables and ground rods, and by interconnecting all building grounding systems. Transient voltage surge suppression equipment shall be installed at each electrical service entrance panel and at sub-panels feeding sensitive electronic equipment. The project also includes incidental related work.--Following tentative dates apply: Issue invitations 7/96, open bids 8/96, complet contract 2/97.--Estimated cost is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00.
