96 -- FORM2 PELLETIZED (DENSIFIED) GRAPHITE SOL DAAD05-96-R-0041 DUE 070896 POC Contract Specialist Pamela Morrison 410-278-0897 (Site Code DAAD05) The U.S. Army Aberdeen Proving Ground has a requirement to purchase Graphite, Form 2 Pelletized (Densified), quantity of 81,000 pounds. The pelletized graphite shall only be produced from powdered (synthetic) graphite and water. The purpose of the pelletized graphite is to provide infra red smoke screening capabilities. The graphite will be produced IAW the Edgewood Research Development and Engineering Center Purchase Description, EA-G-1825 (Attachment I) and Amendment I of EA-G-1825 (Attachment II). The purchase description identifies the scope of the work, the applicable non-Government publications, the requirements for testing and sampling, the equipment to be used for testing and sampling, packaging to include potential bag candidates and general instructions. First article government testing shall be done on 250 pounds of the graphite. The first article units are not in addition to the established quantities and all first article costs shall be included in the unit price.
