B -- VHT VITRIFICATION SYSTEM ENGINEERIN SOL F04699-96-R--0174 DUE 080296 POC For copy, contact the info office indicated., For additional information contact Sears.P1l/Pkop/(916)643-0741 McClellan AFB CA is surveying the market and seeking sources to provide technical engineering evaluations and documentation for a Seiler Pollution Control System for ''GARNET MEDIA BLAST DE-TOX, (VERY HIGH TEMPERATURE VITRIFICATION) AT TINKER AFB. A Seiler Pollution Control, Inc. gas fired, vitrification system has been selected by the Air Force for installation at Tinker AFB OK. The Seiler system will be installed by the manufacturer under separate contract. The Seiler system will be used for recycling hazardous wastes, from Tinker AFB waste streams, into non- hazardous glass/ceramic products. This requirement is to prepare documentation to support the issuance of appropriate permits/variances and/or recycling exemptions by Oklahoma regulatory agencies and prepare documentation required to obtain other regulatory permits and approvals, e.g., air and water discharge permits, and approvals from Environmental, Fire, Health, Safety, and Civil Engineering for the Seiler system. The selected source shall design the system's layout and utility connections, prepare documentation to support the site selection, evaluate energy requirements, and prepare required drawings to support site modifications for Seiler Pollution Control, Inc.'s gas fired, vitrification system's installation. Final report will be due March 97. Evidence of having successfully performed evaluation of Seiler Pollution Control, Inc.'s gas fired, vitrification system including: economic analyses, recycling regulatory requirements, formulation analyses, bench scale testing, pilot scale testing, and source testing must be included with the request in order to be considered a viable source and added to the source list. Those not submitting evidence will be assumed to be interested only as subcontractors and will not be added to the source list.
