Specialist, R. Kay, Contracting Officer Rolling Service Door to include
all guides, hoods, operating mechanisms and special features as
pertaining to the type of door. Exterior rolling doors shall be
designed to withstand at least a twenty (20) pounds per square foot
windload. Windloads shall be provided as required for windload
protection. All service doors and grilles shall be able to withstand a
standard maximum of up to 50,000 operating cycles for the life of the
door and 6 cycles per day for side-coiling doors. The door curtains
shall be constructed in accordance with testing agency requirements and
shall bear a factory installed class label. Exterior ''Weatherbar'' and
insulated doors shall contain a vinyl astragal on the bottom bar. Door
slats shall be No. 5. Guides to be constructed of steel angles forming
a channel for the curtain to travel in. 1/2 inch fasteners. The pinion
gear shall not be less that a 3 inch pitch diameter. Maximum manual
effort of not more than 30 pounds. Chain operation shall operate with
an endless chain and cast iron reduction gears. Locking device shall be
standard provided. Finish Galvanized steel curtain and hoods shall have
FinalCoteTM finish. All other exposed surfaces shall receive one coat
of dark bronze rust inhibiting paint. FOB Destination, Pearl
