C -- A/E SERVICES -REPLACE HVAC SYSTEMS SOL RFP 688-61-96 DUE 071896 POC Hazel France, Contracting Officer Project scope shall consist of replacement of HVAC Systems at the Dept. of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 50 Irving Street, N.W., Washington D.C. 20422. A single design contract is required to review/investigate all existing HVAC, exhaust, DDC, pneumatics and other related components. The A/E will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations, developing a multitude of repair/replacement proposals/costs and preparing construction documents for a most energy efficient system. The A/E shall also be responsible for coordinating all activities with local utility companies to obtain reduced rates/rebates for proposed energy reducing project proposals. A/E firm is required to be experienced in designing energy efficient HVAC system/controls for Medical Centers and institutions. The firm must have experience with the latest JCAHO, Life Safety Code, NFPA, EPA, CAP, TB/Infection Control Codes/requirements/criteria. Estimated construction cost: $550,000.00. Firms desiring consideration are required to submit a SF254 and SF255 no later than close of business (4:30PM, EDST), July 18, 1996 and shall be within a 100 mile radius of the medical center.
