Perform the Logistics Materiel Control Activity (LMCA) of the 46 Test Wing, Eglin AFB FL. Operations to include, but not limited to the LMCA chief function, equipment control unit function, material handling unit function, and equipment management accounting systems requirements. The basic performance period is 1 February 1997 through 31 January 1998 with four one year option periods. The proposed service Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC Code) for this acquisition is 8744, the standard for which is a concern including its affiliates, having an average sales or receipts for its preceding three fiscal years not in excess of $5 million. This action is under 100% small-business set-aside. An Ombudsman, Colonel Joseph D. Ferris, AFDTC Inspector General, has been appointed for this acquisition. His purpose is not to replace the technical staff or contracting officer but to serve as an honest broker to communicate contractor concerns, issues, recommendations or disagreements to appropriate Government personnel.
