Z -- APARTMENT AREA ELECTRICAL UPGRADES Contact: David Dale, Sr., Contracts Specialist, 516-344-3199. This contract will be set aside for bidding by small businesses only. SIC code 1541 applies. Work consists of installation of new electrical distribution and lighting panels baseboard heaters and related electrical work at Bldg. 335, 334 and 350. Also included is replacement of kitchen cabinets, interior doors and hardware, carpet, acoustical tile and finish painting, demolition and removal of debris. Work to be scheduled in only one (1) building at a time. All work will be awarded on a single contract. Estimated construction time is 24 weeks. Estimated construction cost is $270,000. A 20% Bid Bond is required. Payment and Performance Bonds are required after contract award. Brookhaven National Laboratory is charging a non-refundable fee of $20.00 for bid documents. Personal checks made out to ``Brookhaven National Laboratory'' are acceptable. Checks may be sent immediately and bid packages will be mailed upon availability.
