CANCELLATION OF TREASURY DISTRIBUTED PROCESSING INFRASTRUCTURE (TDPI) REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) - The release of an RFP for TDPI, synopsized in the Commerce Business Daily (CBD) on October 4, 1995, as IRS-96-TDPI, is canceled. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will satisfy the commericial off-the-shelf computer hardware and software requirements of the TDPI acquisition from the Federal Supply Schedules (FSS). Vendors seeking to participate in the GSA ADP schedule program may obtain information by contacting the Federal Supply Service office at (703) 305-3038. As indicated in the earlier CBD synopsis, the IRS placed its draft Section C on the Electronic Bulletin Board for public review. At this time, the IRS technical requirements in that draft Section C accurately reflect what the Bureau needs to purchase. The IRS intends to enter into blanket purchase agreements (BPAs) with vendors on the GSA FSS Information Technology (IT) schedules. It is anticipated that the IRS will have requirements to fulfill during the second quarter of calendar year 1997. Prior to this, interested firms are advised that our requirements may undergo further revisions and are encouraged to frequently visit our Bullentin Board System (BBS) for updates.
