Center Weapons division,(CHINA LAKE), CA intends to competitively
procure upgrading of twenty-four existing 80486 systems to Intel,
Pentium 166 MHz systems. In order to minimize the impact of having
these systems unavailable to the workforce, the upgrades will be done
in four stages. Six systems will be picked up by Contractor, upgraded
and returned one week later. This will be repeated for four consecutive
weeks; for a total of 24 systems. Pickup and delivery will be from
building 00994, Naval Air Weapons Station, China Lake California. The
first pickup will be on the first non-holiday Monday following contract
award. The complete upgrade will include: Replacement of the existing
motherboard. The replacement part will be 166 MHz,Intel, Petium-based,
motherboard with 512K pipeline burst cache memory, 3 PCI slots and 4
ISA slots. The board will be populated with 16MB of Ram comprising two
8MB SIMMS. The motherboard will have integrated IDE hard disk and
floppy disk controllers. The replacement will be a diamond steath 64,
4MB VRAM PCI video board set to run windows at 800 x 600 resolution.
The existing hard drive will be replaced with a 635MB or larger IDE
hard drive. The entire drive will be configured with one DOS partition
and MS-DOS v6.22 will be installed. No MS-DOS v6.22 documentation,
disks, or licensing is required. The existing case, floppy drive(s),
network interface card, and power supply will be intergrated with the
new components and the CMOS will be reconfigured to provide a system
that will ''cold boot'' to DOS. All replaced parts will be returned to
Code 823100D, China Lake, California at the vendor's expense. All
requests shall be in writing and may be faxed to 619-927-3488, or sent

Number(TIN)including your Corporation Status, and commerical and
Government Entity (CAGE) Code if one has been assigned. Telephone

be made by 23 july 1996. All responsible sources may submit a quote
