The NFH is a joint venture with the Department of the Air Force (AF) and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Currently the patients requiring telemetry monitoring services are placed in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and are monitored by the ICU nursing staff. These patients are to be relocated to a more functional area and telemetry monitoring technicians are to be contracted to more effectively utilize the the ICU and ICU nursing staff. The VA intends to issue the Request for Proposal (RFP) NLT June 21, 1996 with the intent of awarding a firm fixed price requirements contract based on the best value procurement method.
