Contractor to provide services to augment and backup the Automated Surface Observing System (ASOS), disseminate and record backup observations as required and perform preventative maintenance of equipment, and carry out administrative duties as required at Newark NJ. Contract shall provide certified weather observers. Contract shall operate site 8 hours a day for the month of August 1996, 16 hours a day for the month of September 1996 and 24 hours a day beginning October 1, 1996 thru the duration of the contract. Contract period will be from August 1, 1996 to July 31, 1997, with option to extend for two additional years. This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside.
