R -- ANNOUCEMENT CORRECTION FUEL TANK CLOSURE ON ALCATRAZ SOL 1443RP 8140-96-015 DUE 070196 POC Contact Point, Kathryn Rato, (415)556-3003 The following is CHANGED FROM THE INITIAL ANNOUCEMENT: The evaluation criteria, in descending order of importance will form the basis for evaluating technical proposals: (1) Demonstrated experience in decontamination and closure of large volume fuel storage tanks which are either (a) historic features, (b) constructed of brick/mortar and/or concrete, and/or (c) situated in remote or difficult to access locations; (2) Completeness and thoroughness of technical proposal in accordance with all elements of the Scope of Work, including demonstrated understanding of scope, difficulty of access to site, and feasibility of technical approach to address the unique tank characteristics and waste minimization. (3) Experience with ''over-water'' oil spill controls and countermeasures. (4) Team orgainzation including responsibilties and qualifications of personnel to be assigned. (0170)
