This project consists of new construction of a 17,332 square foot postal facility known as Main Post Office, Colleyville, Wichita Falls, Texas, which will include a small portion of pavement, and all the landscaping on the site. The building is a one-story of exterior insulation finish system and brick veneer with a steel structural framing. The roof is asphaltic build-up roof except for the canopies over the docks, carrier walk and kiosk in front. Those canopies are standing seam metal roof. Windows are storefront aluminum and the interior has a lay-in ceiling with gypsum furr-downs and recessed lighting. Floors have ceramic tile pavers in the entry and lobby, elsewhere is carpet or vinyl tile. The site is located on the corner of Hall-Johnson Road and Bluebonnet Drive in Colleyville. Estimated cost range $1,000,000 - $1,300,000 and construction time is 180 calendar days. Successful offeror must submit their Subcontracting Plan for Small and Minority-Owned, and Woman-Owned Business initially and thereafter with their progress payments requests. The contractor must subcontract with minority business firms in an amount aggregating not less than 10% of the total value of its subcontracts. A 20% proposal bond is required on all proposals. The successful contractor will be required to provide 100% Performance and 50% Payment Bonds within forty-eight (48) hours after notification of contract award. Offers will be received in this office, prior to, but not later than 3:30 p.m. on July 18, 1996. Proposal documents, plans, and specifications will be available on June 18, 1996 at a cost of $100.00 per set (NON-REFUNDABLE) payable by check or money order only.
