Work under this project consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, material and incidentals necessary for construction of an access road and parking lot. Design and engineering have been completed. Rights of way, permits, archeological and environmental clearances have been acquired. The site is located north of Lawton, Oklahoma and is located on an adjacent to Comanche Tribal land. The estimated cost of construction is between $500,000 - $1,000,000. Section 7(b) of the Public Law 93-638 (25 U.S.C. 450E) and 41 CFR 14-1.354 requires that preference opportunities in employment and training be given to Indian/Alaskan individuals and that preference in the award of subcontracts be given to Indian/Alaskan economic enterprises. The Comanche Tribe of Oklahoma does have an approved Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance and tax in effect, that the successful bidder must comply with.
