Z -- REPAIR CARPET/PAINT, SECTION 5B, BUILDING 36 SOL DMA402-96-B-0012 DUE 091596 POC Contact Phyllis Barr, 314/260-1206/Contracting Officer, Paulette Martin, 314/260-1206 This is construction project #96-0025 which consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, equipment and performing all work in strict accordance with specifications, schedules and drawings for the replacement of exisiting carpet and painting existing walls in Section 5B, Building 36. Work includes installing 28 temporary workstations in an adjacent area which has raised flooring. The carpet replacement will be accomplished in four (4) phases. Each phase will consist of disassembly of existing workstations and moving these workstations into an adjacent storage area. Existing furniture (file cabinets, safes, tables chairs) will also be moved. The existing carpet and vinyl base will be removed and new carpet and vinyl base will be installed The existing walls (drywall and demountable partitions) and furring will be painted. After completing carpet installation and painting, the Contractor will reassemble the workstations and move the furniture to its original location. The work shall be performed by a small business general contractor. All work shall be accomplished in strict accordance with applicable DMA, EPA, NFPA, and OSHA requirements. The performance period is 120 days. The contractor shall be required to perform a certain amount of work 9on premium time to minimize disruption of Government services. The approximate cost range is $100,000 and $250,000. The work shall be performed at Defense Mapping Agency located at 3200 South Second Street, St. Louis, MO.
